Seven.

1) Post your favorite lyrics, poem, or quote for this week.
"Life is like an onion; you peel off one layer at a time and sometimes you weep." -Carl Sandburg
2) Develop two reflection questions that you would ask your students at this point in the course if you were a UN100 Professor.

What is your main drive to succeed in college and why?

Do you think that you might switch your major?

3) What are you passionate about? Why?
I'm passionate about health. I  watch what I eat  and I  work out everyday. I  am constantly thinking about how I can better myself. I recently found out I have a bone disease so this is pretty upsetting to me . I just got put on all kinds of medication . I don't think I'm an unhealthy person because of this .. I know I can't stop it. It just came as quite a shocker and it threw my balance off.
4) How are you going to finance your three years of the Radiology program? If you will be in debt from student loans at the end, calculate roughly how much you will owe upon graduation.
I  am one of the lucky  students who gets the Tution Incentive Program so I don't have to pay for tuition  and my parents help me out a lot. I did have to take out loans yet still so my debt will be right up there with most of them. I really can't estimate my debt yet at this point.
5) Have you changed your mind or do you have any new concerns about your program of study after our guest speakers today (Dr. Foley & Joanne)? Are you thinking of a different major or are you dead set on Radiology? What behavior(s) will you maybe have to change in order to keep up with and make the cut?
I am still going to persue radiography but I think I learned a lot from this career research powerpoint we were assigned about other  branches within the radiography department. So far this year has thrown me for a loop so I think I am going to take longer than most people to get my degree. The stuff that has came up lately has forced me to miss a lot of classes but I don't think that I'm willing to give up on my dreams. I might be a year behind everyone else next year but at least I am able to keep pushing through.

Blog #5

I don't really know what we should focus on in this course. I figured it would just basically be a guidance class but it turns out that I'm doing Freshmen Seminar homework more than my Math. I like the tips though. The tips and note taking techniques that you give us have became very useful so far this year.

I need help with my time management. I'm definetly not a morning person and every Tuesday and Thursday we have class at 8am. I know it's not any different than highschool but it's just a bitch to get up that early. UGH. I like to stay up late too which is even worse.

I think I really need more sleep and study time if anything. I spend too much time watching football (sad right?). I know I have the brains to get straight A's but I just have no motivation sometimes. I much rather have all of my homework done before the weekend begins. It just would be a big stress relief. I like going out but knowing that I have a stack of homework waiting for me when I get back is not the greatest feeling. =[
